A Few More Outstanding Cookie Baking Cookbooks

Cookie recipes are so much fun to read. They are even better when they end up making great tasting cookies! Finding good cookie recipes isn't all that difficult, but with some cookbooks you have to search through a lot of unrelated food items to find one or two recipes. Not so with a cookie cookbook. These handy reference tools concentrate on just cookies, all sorts of cookies, and give you a huge variety of options to choose from. Here is Part Two of our Best Cookie Cookbooks review. Like Part One, we are concentrating on cookbooks that not only specialize in cookies, but are designed and written for bakers who aren't looking to use exotic ingredients or follow complicated instructions.

Baking Cookies Means Having The Right Kitchen Tools

You may have the best cookie recipes to follow, but to really bake great cookies you need the right kitchen tools. A good, working oven is obviously needed, if your oven can't maintain the proper temperature you will never bake good cookies. Baking Sugar Cookies You also want to make sure that you have a few kitchen basics. Our grandmothers may have done everything by hand the old fashioned way, but that doesn't mean that the results were any better. It just means that they worked harder to get the same results we can achieve today. Here are three important kitchen tools that you should invest in: A Good Stand Mixer A hand mixer will work, and you can always mix with a spoon. Both aren't nearly as efficient as a stand mixer, and neither will guarantee that every ingredient is blended well. The Right Measuring Cups Dry ingredients need a different measuring cup than liquid ingredients. Don't try to mix the two, the results can be pretty nasty. Good Quality Baking Sheets A good baking sheet will evenly disperse heat, meaning that all of the cookies will bake at the same temperature for the same length of time.
